On the opening weekend of the Isthmian Premier League season, Folkestone Invicta were away, so not at their home ground. Mind you, if they'd been at home, they wouldn't have been at their home ground either, with all all home games until October 2025 due to be played at Margate, This gave us ample opportunity to have a look at the 3G pitch progress over the weekend.

Although mentioned a few times before, what really stood out was the massive gap at the Harvey end. You could almost fit a hotel in there ;)

The gap in front of the Grandad Stand was reasonably large, although access throug there was previously quite restricted anyway.

The Cricket Ground end was not accessible, but it looked like the new pitch would be approximately in the same position as the old grass pitch there.

On the main stand side, it looked like the new pitch would be a couple of metres in from where the old grass pitch was, but again access was restricted.

The location of the existing floodlight pylons appeared to be the limits / corners of the new 3G pitch.
