Finally on Saturday 18th October 2025, a men's first team game was held on the new 3G pitch, with all the new facilities. The visitors were Dulwich Hamlet, and the game drew a bumper crowd of 1379.

The pitch looked excellent, and the run of the ball, as well as the bounce, was good,

The new dugouts appeared a good size and well up to the job.

The floodlights looked 'different' (lower? Not sure) and still had protective fences round them. Still requiring work? Whatever, they were good places to hang a flag.

The fence was nearly full of advertising hoardings - good work on the commercial front.

The only down-side that we could see was that now the pitch was smaller, the sight-lines from the stands were not so good, particularly the Harvey end where the gap from terrace to pitch was massive. We assume this is provisioning for stand rebuilds in the future. Exciting!

There was a special welcome back from the club and official photos of the event. My photos are shown below.

That's the end of this particular blog. All future updates will be in the main section of the website. Many thanks to all have contributed photos and information, and the feedback has been that this blog has been informative when sometimes official sources were a bit behind in updates.
