In the week that Folkestone Invicta knocked 1-league-higher Maidstone United, out of the FA Cup, the shock pad was laid on the pitch at Cheriton Road.

Full details were given on the official Folkestone Invicta website at 3G Pitch Update – 11th September – Folkestone Invicta FC, but generally the work include the shock pad, ducting for the PA, communications networks and electrical power. The next steps are the pitch carpet itself, and the perimeter fence.
